-Sunday, June 12th – Volunteer Picnic/Auction –Picnic starts at 12:00PM – Auction follows at 1:00PM (RSVP required).  Site closed all day to the Public

-Saturday, June 15th – “Taking Tea With Granddaughter” Tea Party – 11:30AM (contact Tammi Hensley 865-297-6475 for reservations).

-Saturday, June 18th – A memorial service for Margaret Sargeant, who passed away March 22, 2022, will be held at the Thumb Octagon Barn on June 18th at 11:00; visitation from 10 AM. A potluck lunch will be held following in the Munro Building. You are invited to join us as we pay tribute to Margaret for all that she has done for the Thumb Octagon Barn and all the Friends she has made for many years of service to others.  Link to her obituary.  Note-Site will open the Public at 2:00 PM.

Saturday/Sunday, September 10th & 11th – Fall Family Days – Step back in time during the 26th annual Fall Family Days held at the Thumb Octagon Barn. Through displays and demonstrations, the style and heritage of farming in the early 1900’s comes to life. Large flea market, antique vendors and crafters on site. Hours 8AM-5PM daily.

Site Tours:
Guided Tours are $5.00 per person (children 6 and under are free) and can be arranged for groups of 10 or more by calling 702-826-1908 or use the Contact page to email the Events Chair.  Several weeks notice of a planned visit is suggested when date and length of time on site can be discussed. The tour of both the barn and house generally takes about 90 minutes but can be adjusted depending on available time for your group’s visit. We graciously accept donations for site tours; they are used for site improvements and additions. Also, the Octagon Barn site can be reserved for large group picnics, reunions, and other group gatherings. Guidelines, expenses and restrictions can be obtained by calling 702-826-1908 or use the Contact page to reach the Events Chair.

Rentals:  The Thumb Octagon Barn site is available for special events, from family picnics, reunions, and wedding, to club and group parties.  For availability and questions, please call 989-665-0081.

Notes for Volunteers:
Boys & Gals Day Out:
Held each Monday if conditions permit.  This Adult construction crew works on many projects that are carried out throughout the year.  Adults wishing to join may contact:
